The open-repository dialog now says correctly that Git ignores the
.jj/
folder and that your
.gitignore
is never changed, and Settings ▸ Account describes the Free plan as public and local repos.

A redesigned main window, picking parts of a change, an editable conflict result and new Preferences — plus workspaces removal, per-revision file edits and multi-remote push.

A redesigned main window, picking parts of a change, an editable conflict result and new Preferences — plus workspaces removal, per-revision file edits and multi-remote push.

New & improved

A redesigned main window. The log, revision pane and side panels sit in their own cards, the status bar shows where you are and what's waiting to push, and the top bar keeps one-click actions for the selected change. The filter, files and operation-log panels are decluttered, and every theme now has distinct background layers.

Pick parts of a change, and edit the conflict result. Tick hunks in a diff to split, squash, restore or move just those lines. The conflict resolver shows both sides on top and an editable result below. Filters get revset completion, and the log shows conflict and ahead/behind counts.

Redesigned Preferences. Search, a Repository section and a switch between global and per-repository settings; every setting takes effect straight away, commit signing can be set for one repository, and you can reinstall the previous version if an update misbehaves.

Remove a workspace. Workspaces ▸ Remove… saves the workspace's changes into a commit, then deletes its folder. Wyrm refuses when that could lose work: an out-of-date workspace, one that contains another workspace, or a folder it doesn't recognise.

Edit or delete a file in any revision. Right-click a file in a revision, or use the Files panel, ▸ Edit in this revision…: saving rewrites just that revision and rebases everything after it. Delete from this revision… removes the file there.

Push to several remotes at once. Pick the remotes in the push dialog; each one shows its own result, so one failing remote doesn't hide the others. Wyrm follows jj's
git.push
and
revsets.git-push
settings.

jj 0.46. Undo refuses to undo another workspace's operation, secondary workspaces can be colocated with Git, and
bisect run
checks its endpoints first.

Fixes

Scrolling works everywhere. Mouse wheel and trackpad now scroll dialogs, side panels, the workspace, submodule and pull-request lists, the filter dropdown and the command palette; the conflict resolver scrolls smoothly with both sides in sync.

Smaller fixes. Search no longer jumps the selection when the log reloads, a pull-request draft survives closing the panel, typing in an editor no longer triggers app shortcuts, start-up is faster, and more labels are translated and keyboard-accessible. Submodules opened with older versions no longer show a phantom uncommitted file, and the log draws a dotted line to a parent that isn't loaded yet.

Security

Safer by default. A cloned repository's settings can no longer run programs through aliases,
--tool
or
bisect run
; app permissions are narrowed, terminals and SSH keys stay separate between windows, and bookmark and tag names are checked against Git's rules.

Network transfers you can cancel, error messages in your language, and your SSH key kept out of your global Git config.

New & improved

Cancel a running fetch, push or clone. Network transfers now run in the background, so the rest of Wyrm stays usable while they work, and a push you start during a fetch waits its turn instead of being refused.

Remote tags, submodules and worktrees. Delete tags on the remote from the push dialog after deleting them locally, get a warning before moving a tag that is already published, and open un-initialised submodules and Git worktrees directly.

Error messages in your language. Every "can't do this" message now appears in your language, with the names of the bookmarks, remotes and revisions involved. The remaining English labels in the workspace menu and the Split and metadata dialogs are translated too.

Fixes

No more duplicate commits when you push the working-copy change while you keep editing. Sign-in accepts 6–8 digit email codes, and git's error messages no longer contain stray lines from the launcher.

Security

Wyrm no longer writes your SSH key into your global
~/.gitconfig
. The key is passed only to the git commands Wyrm runs, and a repository's own
core.sshCommand
takes precedence. Settings ▸ SSH offers to remove the entry earlier versions wrote, and deleting an SSH key there only ever removes key files.

Safer updates. Updates can't be rolled back to a version with known problems, and if an older version can't be reinstalled after a crash, the recovery dialog says why and offers the latest update instead.

Time travel through your repository, a safer way to open repositories you don't trust, and a much faster diff view.

New & improved

Time travel. Operations ▸ ⋯ ▸ View the repository at this operation opens a read-only view of the whole repository as it was then. A change's version history can also bring back an earlier version, or compare one with the current version.

A Custom log column. Show any jj template expression next to your commits, in the same language as
jj log -T
.

Renames are tracked. A renamed file is one row, diffed against its old path, and file history follows it across renames.

More of jj, one click away. Choose your external diff and merge tool in Settings ▸ External Tools, push tags from the push dialog, converge a divergent change, track or untrack many bookmarks at once, and see which commit each side of a conflict came from. Wyrm now runs on jj 0.45.

More jj options in the UI. Pick the source revision for Restore, revert onto a chosen destination, toggle the abandon, new and squash options, and describe several revisions at once.

Large files open instantly in the diff view. Only the visible part is highlighted, so a 50,000-line file goes from about 4 seconds to under a tenth of a second. Loading more of the log continues where it stopped instead of starting over.

Fixes

No more freezes when you right-click, press Alt or switch windows during a long fetch or while an external merge editor is open. Installing to Applications never deletes the copy you are running, hung git commands time out, and macOS no longer shows phantom changes in folders whose names differ only in capitalisation.

Security

Opening a repository you don't trust no longer runs commands it defines. Opening a folder no longer runs the hooks or programs it configures, and Wyrm asks once before the first background fetch. Sign-in is sealed to your app, GitHub Connect uses GitHub's device sign-in, and passwords, passphrases and tokens are scrubbed from logs and diagnostic reports.

Settings ▸ Repository Maintenance now shows how many have piled up and can prune them.

The log explains where new files came from. When a snapshot takes in files, the log records the
snapshot.auto-track
rule that decided it and lists anything skipped, with the reason.

Fixes

No more window that can do nothing. If the backend hit an unexpected error, every action could fail with “sending on a closed channel” until you restarted the app. The backend now recovers on its own, and crashes are recorded in the log instead of vanishing.

The built-in terminal starts your login shell. It used to skip your profile, so tools installed with Homebrew — a newer
git
,
jj
,
node
— looked missing inside Wyrm while working fine in Terminal.

Wyrm now uses a newer git from Homebrew or MacPorts when the default is too old, and tells you exactly what to install when there is none. A
git.executable-path
you set yourself always wins.

Fewer false alarms. Two bogus warnings no longer appear every time a repository opens.

Wyrm now hides its own directory the way jj does, without touching your file. If a repository had no
.gitignore
at all, Wyrm even created one; that is gone too.

Git worktrees are refused instead of silently misconfigured. Initializing inside a
git worktree
checkout appeared to work, but pointed Wyrm at the wrong git directory — after which it disagreed with git about what was committed and what was modified. Tags, a way to see exactly what any operation changed, automated bisection, and a long run of fixes across the log, the diff and settings.

New & improved

Tags. A dedicated Tags panel lists every tag in the repository, and you can create one on any revision — from the panel, the revision menu, or right-click.

See what an operation changed. The operation log can now diff a single operation, so you can tell exactly what a command did before deciding whether to undo it — and individual operations can be abandoned to prune the history.

Automated bisection. Give bisect a command and let it find the change that introduced a problem, instead of testing revisions one at a time.

One-click conflict resolution. Take either side of a conflict directly in the resolver, without dropping to the command line.

Search inside any revision. Search the files in any revision, not just the working copy.

Faster across the board. An app-wide latency pass, quicker submodule navigation, and a submodule dirty-check that does half the work it used to.

Every menu, in your language. The native menu bar is now translated in all supported languages, with a terminology sweep so the same action is named the same way everywhere.

Keyboard and screen-reader access. Panel dividers resize from the keyboard, and a number of mouse-only controls are now reachable without one.

Fixes

A steadier log and diff. Fixed two bugs that could draw the commit graph in the wrong column, stopped the selection snapping back to your working copy on every click, kept side-by-side diffs aligned line to line, and made the change-minimap markers readable.

Divergent changes no longer take panels down. When a single change exists as several commits, search, revision history, absorb and push preview all keep working.

Security

Security. Updated a networking dependency in response to an upstream advisory.

Removed.

Updates now install the version they advertise. A packaging bug meant the 0.1.4 update delivered 0.1.3 instead. Fixed, with a check that stops a stale build being published again.
