Account, trial & billing
Every copy of Wyrm runs with a wyrmflow.com account. The account itself is free, and so is most of the app. Current prices are on the pricing page.
Free and Pro
Section titled “Free and Pro”The plans differ in one thing: private repositories on GitHub, GitLab.com and Bitbucket.
| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Public repositories and repositories without a remote | ✓ | ✓ |
| Repositories on self-hosted Git servers | ✓ | ✓ |
| Pull and merge requests on public repositories | ✓ | ✓ |
| Private repositories on GitHub, GitLab.com and Bitbucket | — | ✓ |
| Pull and merge requests on private repositories | — | ✓ |
The rest of the app (log graph, history editing, conflicts, workspaces, the terminal and so on) is the same on both plans.
How Wyrm decides a repository is private
Section titled “How Wyrm decides a repository is private”When you open a repository, Wyrm looks at its origin remote. If that points to github.com, gitlab.com or bitbucket.org, it asks the host, without logging in, whether the repository is public. A repository the host won’t show to an anonymous visitor counts as private (on GitLab, “internal” counts as private too). Any other host, no remote at all, or a check that fails for another reason leaves the repository usable. The answer is remembered, so the check doesn’t run every time.
Opening a private repository on Free
Section titled “Opening a private repository on Free”Wyrm opens the repository behind a notice: This is a private repository — “Start your free trial or upgrade to Pro to work with private repositories.” You can click Start 14-day free trial (if you haven’t used it), Upgrade to Pro, or Close repo. In the project list such repositories carry Private repository — Pro required.
The 14-day trial
Section titled “The 14-day trial”- It gives you Pro for 14 days. No card is needed.
- Start it from the private-repository notice, from Settings… → Account (Start 14-day free trial), or with Start 14-day trial on the pricing page.
- Each account can use it once, from the Free plan.
- While it runs, the status bar shows 🎁 Pro trial · N days left and Account shows Pro trial · ends ….
- When it ends you go back to Free. Public and local repositories keep working; private ones need Pro again. Nothing is charged unless you subscribe.
Your plan in the app
Section titled “Your plan in the app”Settings… (⌘,) → Account shows who you’re signed in as and your Current plan, with its renewal or end date. From there:
- Upgrade now or Upgrade to Pro opens checkout on wyrmflow.com.
- Manage billing opens your billing page on wyrmflow.com, already signed in.
- Redeem code (opens browser) redeems a gift or promo code.
If a payment fails, Account shows Payment failed. Update your payment method to keep the plan.
Managing billing on the web
Section titled “Managing billing on the web”Your account lives at wyrmflow.com under Overview, Billing and Settings. Billing runs through Stripe: Manage subscription opens the Stripe customer portal, where you update your card, download invoices, change plan or cancel. Plans are billed annually. Upgrades are prorated, and a cancelled plan runs to the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
Refunds
Section titled “Refunds”If you change your mind within 30 days of your first paid charge, you get a full refund. Email support@wyrmflow.com from the address on your account. Annual renewals after that aren’t refundable. The details, including the EU right of withdrawal, are in the refund policy.
